Owner/Director

Blake Raymond

Blake began his insurance career in 2011 and is co-owner of Blue Gum Insurance. He has held previous roles in sales and account management working with brokerages nationally, handling insurance programs for SME clients to large corporate clients.

Blake specialises in commercial insurance broking, offering tailored solutions and risk management advice to help clients manage their exposures. Blake is a Senior Associate CIP with ANZIIF, holds a Tier 1 Qualification and a Diploma in Insurance Broking.

With a passion for insurance, Blake has a strong focus to provide the best possible service for his clients, whilst also willing to meet with prospective clients to discuss how Blue Gum Insurance can better protect their business.

In his spare time, Blake loves anything sport. A keen swimmer, cyclist and runner is enough to keep him busy away from the desk.

Stephen Pearce

Stephen has been in the insurance industry since 2010 and is co-owner of Blue Gum Insurance.

Stephen enjoys building relationships with business owners and learning about their business to develop a solid understanding of their insurance needs.

With experience as both an underwriter and a broker throughout his career, Stephen has gained an extensive understanding of the complexities of insurance. Along with insurance placement, he also provides risk management advice.

Outside of Blue Gum, Stephen loves spending time with his young family and enjoys playing golf and going to the gym. You will also find him tending to his garden which he takes tremendous pride in.

Account Executive

Ali Bovaird

Ali has been in the insurance industry since 2009 and commenced her role with Blue Gum Insurance in 2024 as an Account Executive.

With a specialisation in Professional Indemnity Insurance, Ali brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table.

Ali is passionate about finding customised insurance solutions that meet the unique needs of her clients.

When not in the office, Ali loves being a mum and keeping up with her toddler; making it to the beach for a sunrise and coffee and hitting the walking tracks around the surf coast.

The team at Blue Gum Insurance were exceptional to deal with throughout our claim process.

Blue gum reps answered their phones after hours and during the weekends just to assist with our claim. They were very attentive and enormously helpful from start to finish.
